Shaylen Harger

Shaylen Harger is a vocal technician and acting coach who specializes in Musical Theatre and audition prep, but has a background in many styles of voice. Her parents were both performers as well so she grew up singing publicly starting at the age of 4. Shay graduated with the BFA in Musical Theatre from Western Connecticut State University in 2018. She is a teacher by day and a professional actor/performer by night.

Recent achievements and accolades include:

- Playing "DAWN" in Waitress at A Contemporary Theatre in Ridgefield CT. 

- Working closely with musical composer, Tom Kitt in the ensemble of Almost Famous at ACT in Ridgefield. 

- She recently made her NATIONAL TELEVISION DEBUT as a FINALIST on FOX TV’s, 

I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE and performed with MONTELL JORDAN & DR. KEN JEONG.

- Completed TWO NATIONAL TOURS in JAPAN as a LEAD VOCALIST with DISNEY ON CLASSIC and a 65-piece orchestra. 

- Performed at THE KENNEDY CENTER and was awarded by The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) for BEST ACTRESS IN A MUSICAL IN THE NATION for her performance as "LUCILLE FRANK" in Parade.

- She has also worked professionally as an actress in shows such as KINKY BOOTS, ROCK OF AGES, GODSPELL, MAMA MIA, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, BEAUTY & THE BEAST, and more!

- She is also a director of theatre, choreographer of dance, and a teacher of beginner piano.
